On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Extended Evening Hours will be available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, taking the place of Magic Kingdom’s regular Wednesday evening service. 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm is when the after-hours access will be available.

Usually held at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, Extended Evening Hours are only available to visitors staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and a few other hotels.

The hours of Animal Kingdom in July will be:

Between 7:30 and 8:00 am: Early Access for Visitors to the Disney Resort Hotel
From 8:00 am to 6:00 pm: Typical park hours
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Extended Hours in the Evening

Disney has not yet stated if the July 2 event is the beginning of a new trend at Animal Kingdom or if it is a one-time occurrence. There is a chance that additional dates will be added in the upcoming weeks, as the official calendar only runs through July 2.

After the park’s normal closing time, qualifying visitors can access a few attractions during Extended Evening Hours. Popular rides like Avatar Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, and Expedition Everest have been part of the park’s past after-hours offers; but, Disney has not yet disclosed the list of attractions that will be open during the Animal Kingdom event.
