Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs brought a former local four-star recruit home over the weekend.

Waltclaire Flynn Jr., a UCF transfer offensive lineman from Loganville, Georgia, has committed to Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Prior to signing with the Golden Knights, Flynn Jr. told UGAsports.com, “I’ve liked Georgia for a very long time, but they’ll be up there for sure just from knowing the guys that are on the team, great atmosphere to be around.

Everyone is a leader, they win games and national championships, and they keep a good O-line group and put players in the NFL.

” Flynn Jr. was ranked among the top interior offensive line prospects coming out of Grayson High School in 2024, and he initially committed to UCF over offers from several Power Five schools, including Florida, Miami, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Georgia.

Flynn Jr., who coach Smart has likened to Sedrick Van Pran, gives Athens some much-needed versatility by playing both guard and center.

He joins Army outside linebacker Elo Modozie, Illinois running back Joshua McCray, and Miami defensive lineman Joshua Horton as Georgia’s fourth addition via the spring transfer portal.

The collegiate football spring transfer portal window officially opened on April 16 and closed on April 25.
