In order to make room for the new Tropical Americas land that will replace DinoLand, U.S.A., the closure process has already started. The rest of the park, including our favorite dinosaur ride, will close later, but a few attractions and a gift shop will close in early 2025.
For DINOSAUR in Animal Kingdom, a notice of building commencement has been submitted. The Buena Vista Construction firm was granted permission to start construction at the attraction’s address by Orange County, Florida.
Construction should start within the allotted time frame because the permit was filed on April 25, 2025, and it expires a year later. The construction firm offering labor, supplies, and/or electrical construction services is mentioned in the description.
As far as we know, DINOSAUR will be open until the end of 2025 before closing for good in 2026. Dino-Bite Snacks, Restaurantosaurus, and The Boneyard will also close at that time. New rides, attractions, and restaurants in the Tropical Americas will take their place.
As soon as we receive formal closing information, we’ll keep you informed. We’ll be watching for any additional construction permits for closing DinoLand, U.S.A. offerings. We know there will be quite a few people who wish to say goodbye to Dr. Grant Seeker and the Iguanadon!
