Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is set to unveil its latest attraction, Wild Oasis at Jungala, this spring. As part of a significant $40 million park transformation, the new area introduces a variety of animal species and interactive experiences designed to enhance guest engagement.

 

New Animal Additions

 

Wild Oasis will be home to several new species, including capybaras, giant anteaters, squirrel monkeys, and tropical birds. These animals will reside in the Habitat Hideaway exhibit, designed to mimic a lush, natural environment. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe these animals from both ground level and elevated viewpoints, promoting an immersive experience. Before joining the exhibit, all animals underwent standard quarantine and health assessments at Busch Gardens’ Animal Care Center to ensure their well-being.

 

Interactive Attractions

 

Wild Oasis offers a range of attractions aimed at providing educational and entertaining experiences:

 

Tree Top Drop: A 35-foot drop tower ride surrounded by jungle-themed visuals.

 

Enchanted Falls: An interactive splash pad featuring fountains and spray towers.

 

Canopy Climb: A multi-level climbing structure with 200 feet of horizontal trails and vertical climbs up to 45 feet.

 

Rainforest Quest: A self-guided scavenger hunt focusing on rainforest species and ecosystems.

 

 

Broader Park Enhancements

 

The Wild Oasis development is part of a broader $40 million investment in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, which includes new rides, dining options, and animal habitats. Additional enhancements feature a reimagined meerkat habitat, a climbing structure for chimpanzees, and improved facilities for an all-female Asian elephant herd.

 

Annual Pass Members will receive early access to Wild Oasis before it opens to the general public. The exact opening date has not been announced.
