A small fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the popular Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou, prompting a swift emergency response that averted what could have been a devastating incident during peak tourist season.
According to local authorities, the fire began around 4:15 a.m. near a mobile home kitchen area. Resort staff quickly spotted smoke and activated emergency protocols. Firefighters from Salou and neighboring Tarragona arrived on the scene within 12 minutes.

Emergency crews arrived quickly, flames were tamed, and guests returned to their cabins with stories to tell. No one was hurt, and all marshmallows on-site remained unscorched except for the ones someone had already eaten.
